New meets old

You have to be a little discreet when you want to take a picture in public restrooms. And, iPhones aren't the best at capturing detail, especially if you are doing it on the fly.

This does not do justice to the beautiful high ceilings of the train station that are part of the restrooms as well. Lots of light and space. I loved the blend of vintage details (stenciled numbers on the brick supports) with the sleek updated counters.

Wide open spaces

This ladies restroom is huge. I don't mean the number of stalls, but the floor space. Gleaming wide open spaces. You could hold a school dance in here! It has more space than is indicated here because the stall doors are open. Not sure what inspired this generosity by the airport designers and architects.
